After asking and asking and getting nowhere there is a company that will train you and pay for your CDL training that does not do a hair follicle test that place is called Pam transportation it's been that way for years and it doesn't seem like it will change soon as of right now December 2022 that is still in effect they are also friendly towards people with felonies but the downside is they only accept people from Texas to the east coast so if you live in the West Coast they probably can't help you I live in Las Vegas and that's what was told to me but to be honest I no longer have to worry about that it's been so long I could probably pass a hair follicle test I'm signing up with roehl transportation soon and they do hear Follicle test but it's a good program

CDL:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Ever hear of punctuation?

Stay off drugs before getting into the industry. Stay away from drugs if employed within this industry. Problem solved.

Before going to Roehl I advise you too make sure you can pass, not just think so. They don’t mess around.

Roehl will do it fairly quickly after your application has been reviewed as part of your preemployment screening. I used marijuana a few times in October before my prior industry collapsed and I lost my job. To be safe, I am waiting four months doing every detox method in the meantime and will be paying $140 for my own hair test to confirm BEFORE even applying at Roehl and I would suggest you do the same before you apply anywhere or even enter the industry.

Schedule a drug test here

And to echo what was said earlier, in this field, drugs, have to be permanently out of your life as they have no place in this industry for as long as anyone holds a CDL. You know yourself better than anyone else, if you feel you might revert to it occasionally using in the future (even weed), and don’t have a self discipline to decline, don’t bother becoming a truck driver.

Good luck in your endeavors 👍

I found out you can say the punctuation and it will type it. However, don't pause too long or it will "think" you want to spell it out. Otherwise, just go back and add the punctuation manually.

My wife does talk-to-text all the time. It can be pretty funny the stuff the app "hears" from time to time.

I always wondered, the standard length of hair is supposed to detect 90 days or so. But what stops a company from using the entire hair? Like if you have long hair, can they just do the entire thing if they want?

That's why shaving all hair after waiting several months then waiting for it to grow back is an advised step. The best course is to just not use, but once that bridge is gone, refer again to sentence one.
