I know I haven't been on here in a while. I am now doing a flatbed job. It is a lot harder work than I thought it would be, but I am home everyday. My question is, what do you guys and gals use for sunglasses? I tried buying them from different places, but they are all the same. They just make everything really dark and most of the time I can't use them. I need a good pair that blocks the glare but doesn't make everything dark.

Thanks, Dan

I just use some $20 aviator type sunglasses I got for a gas station lol. My tinted safety glasses are too dark but my regular sunglasses are great.

I was fortunate my old company bought a pair of Oakleys for me. Like 200 dollars. I never wore them really, didn't want to scratch or break them.

I rotated through alot of crappy pairs from various convenience stores, trying to see the zonar tablet and GPS was very hard and the screen didn't work with the glasses I had, recently I had them on the truck and wore them, could see the screen and GPS just fine, no glares like my other crappy pairs. Needless to say I'm now scratching them as I go under the truck and they fall off my head etc. But the Oakley ones I have, have been by far the best for no glare and any other vision issues.

I used to use the 3M safety sunglasses from home depot. 4 pairs in pack for about $20. They weren’t too dark to see phone/gps screens and convex mirrors but dark enough to cut the glare. I now have to use these safety sunglasses from readers.com. Although I have 20/15 far vision, I lost my close up vision after cataract surgery.

I bit the bullet for a pair of Oakley wrap arounds, $137.00

Really like them. The price gave me major heartburn, but good sunglasses are so important for driving.

There is no way I could have known that. My new sunglasses were not cheap.

Okay Bruce..here is your chance for redemption...

I see you are from Madison. I too am a Wisco native. There is a town in Walworth County less than an hour from Madison that is the title of yet another ZZ top song. Can you name it?
