For anyone who wears glasses (not contacts), is it better to get transition lenses, Rx sunglasses, or over Rx sunglasses (that cover your regular glasses? Thanks in advance!

Rx sunglasses are better. I wear transition lens glasses and they don't darken through the windshield. It's something to do with the polarization of the windshield glass.

The over-the-glasses type are a cheap alternative, but I think most people stop wearing them after awhile because they are not the most convenient to put on and take off. Sometimes they can be uncomfortable.

It may be the polarization of the windshield glass, I don't really know. However, I find that if I lay my transition prescription glasses on the dash for a little bit, 10 to 15 minutes, they get really dark. I think the window is more upright in my truck and deeper to where I sit than slanted like in my pickup.

I agree with Ryan. I’ve used transitions in the past and they’re cool but having a separate pair of sunglasses is preferable IMO because the transitions may not always change when you want them to.
