My husband was green "colored blind". I really had never known anyone that was before I met him. So I asked him what the green light looked like and he said blue, but didn't have to worry about it cuz it's on the bottom or if horizontal it's to the right. If he looked at grass, it looked blue to him. Green camouflage when he was in the military looked black. A chartreuse green was yellow to him. It was fun asking him what color he thought it was. He always passed his vision when doing his med card. Last time he drove was in 1996 and the vision tests were relatively simple back then.

Just got done taking my physical to renew my medical card. I did not pass (no surprise) the standard color vision test. If this happens to you, they can and will possibly deny your card.
There is a solution, which is to go to an optometrist that will administer a different type of test that colorblind people will pass, (it basically shows that we can differentiate the signal lights, they show up as different colors, just not the same colors you see) you then bring a form from the optometrist to your provider of the physical.
If ypu are colorblind, which is a misnomer for we still see colors, just not all of them and we don't see the same ones as non colorblind people, be prepared and get the vision form done before you take the test.

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager
The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
