I may be against the grain here, but generally rain x for me turns into a smeared oily mess after bugs. It's nearly impossible to get off your windshield. I avoid it.

I do use their removal cleaner though as it removes oil and road film. Our company provides us with wipers thst are phenomenally horrible and leave microbes that equate to a smear.

I purchase my own heavy duty blades, usually Bosch and get reimbursed. Once a week I clean the blades themselves and use a rough Terry cloth towel to smooth the rubber blades out. I've found that to be the singular most effective thing for clarity. Cost effective too.

I am going to try this because my company provides horrible blades, too. I have just under 30K miles on my truck and already the blades are smearing water more than wiping it. The blades weren't doing a great job when brand new.

I have no idea if the same blade models are available for trucks but this guy always does very thorough reviews and the Bosch Icon blades were clearly better (pun intended) in heavy rain.

I get mine from the auto parts store, they don't specify car or truck, just done by blade length.

I think I may have seen them in truck stops, but probably cheaper from an auto parts place.

Was told a trick by my mentor on keeping glass cleaned of bugs. Carried a bottle or 2 of Dawn dish washing soap. Apply small amount to the stations squeezies wipe all over the dead bugs let it set a bit, then go back over it again and the bugs are gone, and nice clean windows.....Especially during the bad bug season/summer, going thru the midwest, them bugs is nasty as heck lol. Sometimes, after cleaning the windows at fueling, 10 miles down the road splat! the bugs start ruining all that clean up time lol
