I got my CDL 7 months ago and had trouble finding a company to take me having no experience. Western Express gave me a chance and despite what you may read on the web or hear on YouTube my experience up to this point has been fantastic. Everyone within the company I've come in contact with in person or on the phone has been the utmost professional. I went to orientation in Nashville did load securement training for flatbed was on the road with a trainer after that and I just received a message this morning that I'm being upgraded to my own truck tomorrow. Really excited to be with Western Express

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
