Will I be able to get another job in trucking???
Nobody can answer this for you. You'll need to be relentless in putting in applications and hope for the best.
You don't need tickets because you possibly have 4 preventables on your DAC.
Right now the economy is tanking. Trucking has slowed down considerably and you are going to fight an uphill battle getting another job. Hit up all the large companies.
You can't make excuses for any of your preventables, even the mirror. When you talk with other companies, you have to own up to these preventables and tell them what you learned from these incidents and how you should have done these differently. In other words, you have to eat humble pie. People with no preventables and a good driving record are having a hard time getting in to driving because companies are cutting back on drivers.

A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).
It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.
Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.

I’ve noticed that greatly! When I first signed up for trucking school in January 2023, I was so excited to see the job options out there. I graduated in March and received a handful of offers. But I had to take care of unexpected family matters, four months later, I do notice that jobs are now far and few.
I’ve been wait listed on a few companies and turned down from a few others short of trainers or not accepting noobs anymore. My trucking future is pretty bleak at the moment. But I’m trying not to give up.

Leah, kudos to you for maintaining a positive attitude.
Keep in mind that life in general, and the trucking industry, is a roller coaster ride with all those ups and downs. Demand for drivers will rebound at some point, sooner or later. Hang in there and in the meantime try to keep your head in the game.

How can you be sure that the demand for drivers will increase again when it is decreasing day by day?
DAC reports are real and not every company participates. CSA yes they do and that 's where it will show. But you can contact HireRight and get a copy of your record. Like one guy on here said you'll have to sit down and call it may take a few phone calls but there are companies that will hire you. The insurance companies make the call, if your insurable keep in mind some are self insured. You had a rough start but it's up to how hard your willing to put in effort. Get out and look if your not 100% sure in backing ,I've been doing this for 13 1/2 years and certain situations I will get out and look 6,7 8 times and never let people pressure you. Do it your way. Good Luck.
The CSA is a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) initiative to improve large truck and bus safety and ultimately reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities that are related to commercial motor vehicle

Well, no one can accurately predict the future, but my experience in life, 70+years, tells me that these things are cyclical. I’ve seen enough recessions and recoveries to believe that the driver demand situation will rebound.
If not, please feel free to sue me.

Melton: the truth of the matter is that the trucking companies must adapt to keep in business. What your outfit is hauling this month, may be completely off their freight lists in three weeks. I worked for a regional outfit that was married to a major heavy industry manufacturing name - when their business model dictated relocation to TX our outfit remade itself and started hauling furnishings. It saved them. And most outfits will do that, if they are willing to adapt to the changing circumstances.
Yep - economy is tanking badly for the past months for a variety of (staying off the soapbox and out of the politicritter arena here) reasons. The end of the line, though, is that transportation of commodities relies on what we do behind the wheel - whether it's an 18 or a three axle straight truck. Deliver. Haul. Relocate. That's the meat and potato of this industry, and confidence in the AMERICAN economic engine, rather than the people seated in the seats they sit in, will (i am confident) see us through to better days.
I remember in Summer 2015, I was power washing the insides of trailers used for almost a decade for hauling industrial castings, simply to get hours and keep working. It was pretty darned slow for us and a lot of other outfits. Being adaptable in what you're willing to drive, keeping the intermodal option open, staying positive and making a good impression on your driver manager and dispatchers - these things will all help you weather the storm.
Good Luck!
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
Transporting freight using two or more transportation modes. An example would be freight that is moved by truck from the shipper's dock to the rail yard, then placed on a train to the next rail yard, and finally returned to a truck for delivery to the receiving customer.
In trucking when you hear someone refer to an intermodal job they're normally talking about hauling shipping containers to and from the shipyards and railyards.

Hi I’m Tee, I need some help please!!
