Hey BK, do you have a link for this? Without thinking I clicked on the "video" and had then Home "Doh!" feeling when I instantly realized I was clicking on a screen shot and not an actual video, haha LOL.
Sorry, I don’t know how to put links in my posts. I’m gonna have to learn that.
You might be able to track the article down from a Google search.
Happens all the time there. On the interstate there’s a huge light up sign before the exit that says NO trucks, trucks will not fit… $$$ fine etc.
Amazing how many people blindly follow their gps and ignore the giant signs
Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).
Where I live there's a particular street in the middle of town that is clearly too sharp to turn on but at least once a month some guy follows his GPS and tries to turn into it, resulting in his tandems landing in a deep pit next to the road. Tractor is still on the road but the turn is so sharp and the ditch is deep, trailer usually ends up leaning into the ditch.
It's become sort of a town joke about the trucks always trying to go on it.
A set of axles spaced close together, legally defined as more than 40 and less than 96 inches apart by the USDOT. Drivers tend to refer to the tandem axles on their trailer as just "tandems". You might hear a driver say, "I'm 400 pounds overweight on my tandems", referring to his trailer tandems, not his tractor tandems. Tractor tandems are generally just referred to as "drives" which is short for "drive axles".

All you have to do is highlight the website that you are on, which would be the link of the story you are posting. To do that you would need to hold the left button on your mouse and drag it to highlight the website that is showing in your browser and then right click on your mouse and select copy. Then when you go to post it just hit paste and it will appear. I hope this helps and that my explanation is clear! If not please contact me and I will try to explain it better.
