Candace, the answer to your question partially depends on what the preventables were and how severe they were. Any potential employer will probably take that into consideration, although some may look at the number “6” and say no automatically.
Your question and the wording indicate that you are not taking full responsibility for your incidents. That will be the biggest red flag to any potential employer. So don’t try to make excuses because that would be your biggest mistake.
It looks like you joined this forum over 3 years ago and this is your first post. Perhaps if you had asked for help sooner some of your preventables might have been avoided. Now all you can do is to apply everywhere and see if someone will give you an opportunity to redeem yourself, but it will be tough. Good luck.
A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).
It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.
Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.

I have 6 preventables on my record in 3 years. I didn't get the proper training when I first started out in 2020. I have not had a incident since 2021. 3 of them should have been non preventables but I don't know how to dispute them. Who will hire me now with my record
