Many of the comments I see here recommend waiting at least one year. Also you can get a test to administer to yourself to see if you still test positive before you take a test that will go on your record. Highly recommended to do that.
Also, they can take hair other than facial hair for the test. I’ve had hair taken from my arms. They can take chest hair, but in my case they couldn’t because hair doesn’t grow on steel. Lol
The lab only uses the latest 90 days of hair. (Hair does grow at about the same rate "all over".) The in-hair chemicals are too deteriorated to be useful older than that.
Well I have very little arm hair and absolutely nothing on my chest, underarms or legs. The tech said it will have to come from facial hair as even if I let my sparse head hair grow it may not be enough to sample effectively. I do not want to fail this test but will putting it off raise suspicion? I already started orientation but they sent me home since I did not have sufficient hair on scalp or body to test. Have rescheduled me for two weeks but even then I may not have enough hair to sample.

I would like To point out my facial hair that was present on my face when I quit smoking pot has long since grown out and been trimmed off. What is likely on my face at present has grown out long after i last consumed marijuana. Will that make a difference or do THC metabolites remain in hair for as long as I was still testing positive in my urine? Took about three months to test negative in a UA.
Does this also apply to facial hair?

Sorry i keep adding to this. I am seriously challenged when it comes to how much hair i have to offer up for both a trial run at home drug test and the official company test in two weeks.

Hair sprouting from your body is hair. Generally it all grows about the same rate. Maybe your face hair isn't worth that much, as you wash you face more than you head (mostly) and all the rubbing it might get.
Remember this anthem form the Age of Hippie:
Hair (hair, hair, hair, hair, hair)
Grow it, show it
Long as I can grow it
My hair
Hair down there?
My belief is that facial hair can be used. Maybe someone can confirm that. I have also been told that pubic hair can be used if need be.
Your hair, from any part of your body can be used (Yes, any part). The collection is about 1/4" worth .

Quit smoking pot 7 months ago and gave it up for good knowing I wanted to do the CDL thing. Upcoming hair follicle test in two weeks. Most likely can only collect sample from facial hair which is about 1/2 inch in length now, might be close to 5/8s by test date. Obviously passed my urine screen. Am I going to be ok for my hair follicle test after 7 months?
