Yesterday I was coming up I35 through Dallas. On one of the digital information signs along that very busy route, this is what one sign said:

NO STOPPING ON ROAD TO WATCH ECLIPSE

I wish I could have gotten a photo of the sign but there was too much traffic.

🤣Some of the things you see written on those signs are amusing.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Delaware's digital signs are clever, including:

CAMP IN THE WOODS, NOT THE LEFT LANE

NICE CAR. DOES IT HAVE A TURN SIGNAL?

95 IS THE ROUTE NUMBER, NOT THE SPEED LIMIT

and my personal favorite,

GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR APP. PUT DOWN THE PHONE AND JUST DRIVE

It's been a good many years, but I think I was in Pennsylvania when I read an electronic highway sign that said something like, "Slow Down - Zombies Ahead."

One of my favorites was on I-4 here in Orlando. It was in a road work zone and read "Slow Down, or we'll put the potholes back"

This confirms what I’ve heard. They don’t fix potholes, they just move them around so motorists can’t memorize them.
