Let's hear it drivers, what on road behaviors annoy you the most?

Perhaps the silliest thing that bothers me most is drivers running their fog lights when they don't provide any benefit such as a clear night or broad daylight.

Trucks that decide to speed up when you're attempting to pass and they just drive next to you.

How much time you got? Lol

Cars or trucks that do not know how to merge.

People that pass you then slow down for no reason

People who speed up and slow down for no reason.

People who pass who then immediately cut you off to get off.

Cars that are scared to pass you, they just ride along side then slow down when I slow down.

That's it for now

Picking just one is tough. I can't stand people who don't know how to merge onto the interstate.

They act like you are supposed to brake from 65mph to allow them into your lane. And if you move over into the next lane for them, they maintain your speed right beside you instead of speeding up so you can get back in the right lane.

Interstate:

Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).

Do you guys flash your lights to let another driver know they're good to come back over?

I've got mixed feelings on it. It's helpful when traffic is heavy to minimize holding up the left lane, or when there's something they need to get over for such as emergency vehicles. I'm also appreciative during inclement weather when the road spray makes it harder to see in my mirrors. However, I do not understand the purpose when nobody else is around. Frequently if I'm on I35 heading to Minneapolis in the overnight hours I'll hop in the left lane doing 70. It seems like I'm immediately getting flashed to come back over. What's the hurry if we're the only traffic on the road!? If I do jump over right away they end up braking to get their distance back. It makes me shake my head even more when the ground is wet. If I'm not impeding traffic I'll hang out in the left lane a bit longer so I'm not kicking all the water from the road up on his windshield. Heck, I even came up on a driver doing 57 this morning who was flashing me to let me know I'm clear.wtf.gif.

If they want to drive my truck, maybe they should apply at my company smile.gif regardless, I'll still give em the blinkie blinkie as a thank you even if I dont jump over.

As was stated, this is such a tough subject because there are soooooooo many choices. Lol.

I hate any vehicle that passes and then cuts back in front of the truck too soon, especially when they are not being followed by other vehicles.

It also bothers me when someone signals me that I can move back after passing by flashing their high beams at night. Blinding. Better not to signal at all.

Oh, and how about all the vehicles that race in front of the truck just so they can abruptly take the exit. Then they exit at a high speed and have to brake hard on the exit. Especially bad if their exit triggers the truck’s radar emergency braking and it causes a critical event.

I do flash. Usually depends on the situation though. I use the switch to flash the headlights I won't flash the highbeams.

How about people who think they need to flash their high beams before passing. Always fun.

When I was learning to drive (back in the 70's) it was in the rules of the road that the overtaking driver was required to signal (lights or horn) of the intent to pass when on a non-divided highway. I still do it when I am in my 4 wheeler and passing on two lane state highways (think route 47 in Illinois twixt Dwight and Mahomet)

And brights and off road lights.

Also driving slow until you start to pass then taking off like a scalded dog.
