Right now in this downturned market and overcapacity of trucks? Apply everywhere you can and see what you can get. Any OTR experience or backing in docks at customers? If not, I'm betting you will need to start from scratch as a new hire with a current CDL , meaning a full curriculum with a driving trainer.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
Hi. As a Prime CDL instructor, I can tell you that Prime and some other companies will male anyone out of a truck for 6 months or more go through schooling again. Thank you for the advice . I talked to a swift recruiter earlier today and was told i don't qualify . that i need to get some experience and then try again . i thought swift would hire anyone

Get these notions out of your head, as this isn't true today.
No company I'm aware of right now is hiring just "anybody". Most second string, third rate, and second chance opportunities are gone. Why? Insurance rates are too high, there are too many drivers, profit margins are too small, and freight volumes have plummeted for the past 25 consecutive months.
