I was considering Gordon, their trucks have APU's and they pay practical miles, according to the recruiter I talked to. They sound good to me. Although I'm going with Prime because I want to go flatbed and take my dog.

Auxiliary Power Unit

On tractor trailers, and APU is a small diesel engine that powers a heat and air conditioning unit while charging the truck's main batteries at the same time. This allows the driver to remain comfortable in the cab and have access to electric power without running the main truck engine.

Having an APU helps save money in fuel costs and saves wear and tear on the main engine, though they tend to be expensive to install and maintain. Therefore only a very small percentage of the trucks on the road today come equipped with an APU.

Yes, I went to IITR in Clackamas Oregon. I'm happy with the school and I had a job lined up before I finished.

Well an update I have been approved for a grant for school through Oregon job growers (WIA) and it sounds like they are going to be able to pay the whole thing so off to school June 9th !!!

Thanks Old School I'm, getting pretty excited and a little nervous but I know I can make a great career out of this lifestyle I look forward to all of the stress filled " what the heck was I thinking " moments . Starcar I will be going to IITR school in Albany OR. I'll try to keep you all updated I don't have the gift of gab like Old School or some others on here !
