Nice... the power unit is reminiscent of early Bonneville salt flats racers, lol. But hey, it's a convertible!
The front of that thing in the second picture, first thing I thought of was the old Landspeeder from Star Wars. lol
Dad had an old friend in Arizona 1i early 90's,the guy was in his 70s. His daughter, had broken the land speed record @ Bonneville, in the 1970's in an electric dragster. Looked just like the top fuelers, but on smaller scale.
It had 2 GE electric motors. Sadly she died at like age 24-25 dunno from what. Dad saved her car in his garage. I seen it when he was restoring it. GE sent him 2 brand new motors too. He put it in the Riverside Casino's Car Museum along with the stat board of the event from the day.
I thought it was cool.....If memory serves me her speed then was in the high 120 mph range, near 130. I guess that was a big deal back in the '70s, being it was electric

Saw this unique vehicle yesterday. Cadillac chassis and power train custom built to be a replica of the first American vehicle to race LeMans In Europe. Very friendly Brit named Derrick Drinkwater had this shipped over and he and his wife were on a cross country USA tour.
