My Grandpa was a trucker for quite some time. So I feel like in some ways I'm not really new to the trucking community since I spent my childhood being around one. You know Truckers are the backbone of this country. Without truckers we'd all be trucked.

This one's for all you Diesel Cowboys.

William, I’m a grandpa and a driver. My driving job is putting my grandson through college and he just finished his sophomore year. So, thanks for the shout out to all the drivers, grandparents or not.

And Willie also said: “The road goes on forever and the party never ends.”

Thanks! And my appreciation for the drivers, too. It's always nice to chat with other drivers, especially those that have many years under their belt. Some still really enjoy the work and some are more than over it. But we all make the economy happen in our unique way, though, some can do it much more stress-free than others.

I drive with just a couple of simple rules: Be as courteous as possible, and don't be in a hurry.

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.
