The Hazmat endorsement is its own thing. I doubt if undocumented experience will help. Study the hazmat info with the High Road Hazardous Materials. then you must get a certification test. The cheapest one $25 (I used it and it works) is at eldt.com/hazardous, then go to the DMV.

I am a new hire with my company, I have had a class E for 10 years now, driven tow trucks, box trucks, large flat bed cargo trucks. With this company I will drive a 26,000 gvwr box truck, but, will transport up to 1,000lbs of refrigerant or other hazmat. My question is will this program allow me to simple get my class C and hazmat and satisfy the ELDT requirement? Thank you for your time.
