My New Old Friend

This is a man I met at a customer this week. His name is Allen and he is 82 years old. Allen plans on driving 3 more years. His company just got him the new Peterbilt, but he likes Volvos the best. He has been driving for 21 years.

I always enjoy meeting some of the older folks out here on the road. Trucking has all kinds of opportunities for all kinds of people.

Wow, that's awesome. He looks really good for that age and I suspect he really enjoys trucking, and that keeps him going, too.

Yeah, that's awesome to be 82 and still getting after it. Even the "easy" trucking jobs ain't easy, at least not compared to sitting in a condo in Florida watching the joggers on the beach!
