On the contrary, I welcome criticism. It's a key component to developing oneself into becoming better at anything.

We can all become better drivers. I think even you would agree with me there.

I stand by my previous statement that you made a boneheaded move by passing two trucks in the median. I agree with you that the truck driver also was irresponsibly reckless. Your response was aggressive and unnecessarily dangerous.

Everytime we point out your errors you add more details to justify your bad behaviors. That, in itself, is really telling.

So be careful out there. Now it is my turn to be the highway police .

Why don't you just apply for that position? Then you can get paid to teach people the errors of their ways.

I admit..i deleted his post last night as he went on a blaming and accusatory rant. He came to a trucker forum to do nothing but complain about us.

Dude, you have no idea how hard our job is...and to do it in the legal time allowed... and with morons on the road.

You call yourself a victim, but you have been aggressive here and could possibly have been on the road. We do not know.

What did you want? Yes, the trucker was wrong. You probably were as well. Reading your deacription is hard... cause he was going 35mph pushing you off the road... then you were going 3mph tp get back on..

We dont get paid for this. We are working 14 hour days dodging aggressive cars who dont want us on the road.and now you come here. To aggravate us more.

Sorry... i do not need to be friendly to a guy who is belittling and demeaning. Who obviously hates truckers. Go play with your dash cam and call the cops. Stay safe and try not to kill anyone next time you do not slow down to allow someone else in.

It can be done... i do it every day... allow others in front. You wouldnt have been run off the road if you were driving defensively.

I completely agree with Kearsey on all points. I let this guy say more than we should have. His story was so full of holes it was almost amusing just waiting to see what he would say next. At one point he describes the trucks engine revving up high as if this were all done at high speed, and then when we point out how ludicrous it is to pass in the median at such speeds, he says they were barely moving at all.

I honestly have no idea why he came in here other than a good chance to put on display his disdain for truckers. We get it. We know there are people who don't appreciate sharing the road with us. Yet... they keep on buying stuff!

Be safe drivers, and make sure you know how to go through a zipper merge point. There's a new sheriff in town, and he is armed with a dash cam. He's dangerous and his eyes are on you. Be aware - Be afraid! If you can't get it right, the law will be called.

After running me off into the median the trucker would not let me back on the road. He would close the gap in front of him to not let me in. His engine was revving pretty high to do it. I could hear it being right beside him. I had to pass him and another truck in the median to get back on the road. To be fair I have seen passenger cars, mostly large pick up trucks, try the same thing. I had my wife in the car with me who is recovering from a very serious neck and back operation. I did my best to get away so that there was no incident that could jeopardize her recovery. Anyway, I am not one to complain and do nothing. I have contacted PennDot to see if anything can be done with signage to let everyone know that purposely blocking lanes is illegal. We'll see if they respond. I also just purchased a dashcam. No one will do this to me again without consequences. Just sayin......

I'm thinking you had another option other than passing, sometimes it's just better to drop back and let idiots be idiots. getting a dashcam is a good idea, just so you can help keep people who are causing problems off the road, but if you get pushed into the median, just drop back, and get back into the lane of travel.

Well, your site coordinator won't post any of my replies anymore. I never had a disdain for truckers until now. Ok, I get it, drop back next time. But there seems to be no advice on these posts to inform other truckers how they should merge in a zipper zone. That is disappointing to me. That was my reason to post here. Not to aggravate everyone. Go look back at when the posts started turning negative. It wasn't from me....

When you four-wheelers finally learn how to merge onto the interstate from the on-ramp, I’ll give two shi#&s about what happens at a zipper merge; I encounter a thousand times more idiots who don’t know how to merge onto the interstate versus anything going on at a zipper merge. SMDH.

Interstate:

Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).

Davy A.'s Comment

That's extremely ironic considering that its apparent that you are unaware of how to merge.

The commonwealth of PA clearly specifies that the vehicle in the through lane has the right of way. The merging vehicle must yield to the vehicle in the lane of travel that continues. This supercedes your obsession with managing a zipper merge.

In other words, your own reckless driving, because your ego got bruised put you in this predicament. The matter gets convoluted due to the fact that you alleged that the semi driver was intentionally preventing you from returning to the roadway. But it was you that attempted to overtake vehicles in the median. A police officer would most likely cite you. Your actions tell a different tale than your words.

Also, most trucks on the road have dash cams and many drivers actions are monitored. Since the implementation of safe driving camera systems in trucks, it found the car drivers to be in error a whopping 87 percent of the time. You see, we run dash cams and monitoring equipment to keep us safe from drivers like you, much more than to keep to safe from us.

Stop evading the question. Educate us. Once I am educated I will tell others what to do. I honesty will. So, the signs say to use both lanes to merge point. I did what the sign says. If that is not correct how is any 4 wheeler supposed to know? What is your correct way?

Best of success on your social justice journey to make roads safer for yourself (where everything is black and white and everyone else is a moron that should yield to you) good-luck.gif

I guess your site coordinator won't publish any more of my posts. Charade. Really? It seems that you can't accept criticism. You like to hand it out though. One good recommendation from this site is that next time I should call 911. I do have a dash cam now and I will be reporting aggressive behavior and lane blocking. So be careful out there. Now it is my turn to be the highway police (but not judge and jury as one of your compatriots did)....
