Hello,

I’m working on obtaining my commercial driving permit to start the process for my CDL. I’m not in the financial to pay for CDL school out of pocket, I was going for Schneider, but they don't have anything in my area.

Are there other companies that have decent programs for women in AZ?

  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Hi. Truth is.. any company is going to do well for any woman who wants to work, learn, and be safe.

I have been at Prime for 9 years. We have 1600 women drivers out of 9,000. We have annual awards ceremonies for women, facebook support groups, and even a female driver liaison to help.with issues.

Please be aware... almost all training companines are over the road. If you want a local job, trying Fedex dock to driver typw of program may be better.

At Prime, i go to AZ all the time.... i have a youtube channel with a female playlist about being a female driver at Prime.. i also have training playlists with my female students. Check them out!

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
