I recently had a brake light that was out. I noticed it was riveted in place. So, I stopped at a Loves and it ended up being a 4 hour repair. I’m guessing I could have just drilled out rivets and replaced with a screw, although I didn’t have a drill on me at the time. My question is are the brake lights universal and why in the world would they be riveted in place? Thanks

Probably a newer trailer with led lights. Ever since the manufacturers switched to led lights they have been Riverdale instead of bolt and nut mounted due to the theft of them because they are very expensive compared to the old incandescent lights.
