Most of the time it's a waste of time posting anything here because usually anything not related to employment will get buried. It seems like most of the time 75% of the posts on here are about getting fired, needing another job or trying to get into trucking. So how about making a separate category for employment related topics?

And I wager a lot of people have left and never come back for the reason outlined above.

There are fifteen topics on the first "page". Just now I would consider nine of them job related. So over half are job related.

I've been here for a while, and and I figure most of my posts are job related - either in getting a job, driving safely (which means keeping your job) and occasionally about eating Oreos while driving.

SCWZ, I’m not sure I understand what you are getting at. Could you list a few examples of what you would like to see in addition to what is already here?

It would make sense for a community that focuses on helping prospective and beginner drivers start in the industry to focus on drivers getting and keeping their beginning job.

The nature of questions people ask follow the market and workplace trends. Right now, it's harder to get hired and easier to get fired. It will be for some time. When the marketplace opens up, you'll see more posts about ba king and technical details.

Some things are fairly constant. Questions about drug use and drug tests, work history issues, wrecking a truck goes up in the winter.

Also, there's fewer jobs, few carriers hiring drivers and the pay industry wide is shrinking across all platforms. All this is culminating I'm less intrest from the public into getting into the industry as they learn face to face the reality that there is no and never was a driver shortage.

Errol, is there a specific variety of Oreos that you prefer? Regular, or Double Stuff, or one of the flavors? Would you agree that the amount of filling, including the Double Stuff, has diminished significantly compared to 30 years ago? I quit buying Oreos a long time ago because I felt I was getting mostly cookie and not much filling. Back in the day I would take two Double Stuff, remove a cookie from each, and then stack them, making it a Quadruple Stuff. Which is probably why I have soooo many fillings in my teeth! (Think Jaws from the Roger Moore 007 era).

Put "Oreos" in the search bar at the top of the page. I stopped buying Oreos long ago because I'd eat the whole package.

Mariano's, now owned by Kroger, years back carried a 'backyard bbq sauce' that was perfect for grilling a pork loin, but stopped selling it. My loins ain't been the same since!

Well, that's what we do. We help people get started in trucking and develop their career.

What kind of topics did you want to discuss that you would like to see a separate category for?
