OS, gotta chuckle on that, I missed the part about the hay. I've bucked many a bails too. Some days I almost miss it. Seems like it's all round bails these days or tractor loaded big squares.

After reading this.. i say quit.

You just admitted to using a medication that makes people drowsy... so much so that my local hospital uses it as a sleeping pill! And you are using it while driving an 80,000 pound killing machine.

Please get off the road and stop endangering us and our families!

So all of this bothers you but diesel fumes do not? What about antigel? That is going to bother you. The cold winter will sting your lungs. The sand storms of NM will suffocate you. The dusty construction sites will put you on an oxygen tank. God forbid you have to drive into a beef or chicken plant. You will have a seizure from the stench. Don't park next to a cattle truck! The fleas will infect you with lyme disease. Birds could fall out of the sky and give you West Nile virus, so be careful walking through truck stops! The tornadoes will fling debris into your head and give you a concussion.

You are fixated on possibilities of money with no proof of what people are saying.

Yes, i think the trainer is lease. That is common... they are NOT a WE employee and that is why they paid for damage and fuel. They signed a contract.

As far as turnover rates.. 60 people a week is nothing.Prime brings in 250 at a time in some classes. Why? Because living on a truck is hard. It is hard to be away from home and family. It is hard to not be comfortable. Most people do not make it through the first year because of them and their expectations.

You keep complaining about the trainer, yet not once did you ask us about weights, fueling, inspections, hours of service... or anything else you learn in training. So you must have learned it already by the person you say is not teaching you.

Just quit. Pay the loan off... which btw is cheap. Prime's is $4500ish and Roehls was $7,000 last i looked.

The company at this point probably wants you to quit as you already complained about the hotel, the food, the truck, the bed, the trainer and even the pay that you arent receiving yet.

Please please please... do us a favor. Do your wife a favor (poot woman) Do your physical and mental health a favor. Do WE a favor. Do all of the people who will ever come into contact with you a favor.

Go back to hay throwing in your pristine environment and breathe easy. Only then can you rest assured you will be safe and healthy.

And so will the rest of the world.

I am so done.

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

As Kearsey said just quit. Trucking is not for everyone. It is no place for whiners. I think you're related to Doug and Wendy.

You originally said you were dry van then you're talking about dealing with tarps, which would be flatbed.

If you break down while on the road you will be put in the cheapest hotel they can get.

It's unsafe to operate an 80,000 pound death machine while taking Benadryl.

Your compromised immune system will be a major hindrance to you. We do always go to the cleanest places.

Either grow a pair or find a different career.

Also, I don't think you will be happy with your first years earnings.

Dry Van:

A trailer or truck that that requires no special attention, such as refrigeration, that hauls regular palletted, boxed, or floor-loaded freight. The most common type of trailer in trucking.

WOW !! Just WOW !! Midn8t, Don't think I've ever read someone posting here on SOOO many issues.....Jeeze, sounds like ya best to forget trucking, and find something you can work at all by yourself, and your poor sounding health....As others had posted, recently, the best "encouragement" given is just do something else and QUIT....

WEI probably wishes the same, I'm thinkin' your days with them may be numbered, and limited. There's a LOT of better prospects out there, and with experience.

Unless, this is just 1 of those good old fake rants, by Todd, the Infamous, troll... hahaha.

Haha. Omg. I came back thinking maybe i overreacted and was in a bad mood when i wrote my initial response. I was going to apologize.

Glad to see others feel the same way I did.

For future readers:

When someone complains about absolutely everything... we know the problem is that person, not the company, trainer, or supervisor.

Be wary of listening to company gossip, because as a new driver, you often do not understand what is being told or you believe a bunch of lies without knowing it.

If you have any sort of mental issues (anxiety, depression etc) you can seriously do harm to any progress you have made by being place in a high stress job. And you risk hurting others.

Be flexible.. go with the flow.. and stop whining. Like omg... i am a woman and didn't complain this much.

One of my favorite posters of this sort was Professor X. Anyone remember him? He even complained about the free food from Roehl.. and i remember the only thing he liked at all were the salads to which he responded "salad for lunch, YUM". Everything else about his experience was horrible.
