My 19 Volvo and 23 Volvo are all disc brakes. My current trailer is as well, along with some of the others in the fleet.
We had a customer we delivered to in the midwest, they had day cabs all with discs front and rear. I said dayyum wish we had those lol. Back in the late 80's at WM the newer Volvo white trash trucks all came with em too... A LOT easier to work on and faster (if ya wasn't a time clock waster) 1/2 our night shift were lazy. They'd take hours n hours to do a couple brakes on 1 truck.
I showed our boss, I could do 1 wheel in under 30 minutes. From finding the truck, drive to shop, and do the work, park the truck & clock out the repair order...We had a pallet full of brake pads on hand... Of course if the rotors were trashed, it'd take a bit longer, but not 8 hours per 2 wheels...Saturdays, were brake day, roll under each truck in the rows(120+) adjust, and write up bad brakes. Then spend the rest of the day knocking em out...
A tractor which does not have a sleeper berth attached to it. Normally used for local routes where drivers go home every night.
Been spoiled the last five years-the whole fleet, tractors and trailers are disc all around. This outfit doesn’t skimp.
What will throw me are spring ride trailers. My whole career has been with air ride, we have a few wax trailers that are spring, and while I don’t notice the rough ride too much while pulling them, hooking back to my air ride makes it feel like I’m pulling nothing-got to keep checking to make sure I didn’t lose the trailer, so smooth.

I'm just curious how many of you drive a tractor with disc brakes all around. When I got my million miler truck, it was set up this way. It will stop in a hurry when you need to.
It took me a little while to get accustomed to them, but they are awesome in a way that you really don't want to have to experience.
So, who all has a set up like this? I remember Brett once having a sort of experimental truck with all disc brakes. I'm sure mine was set up like this purposely, but I'm wondering if it's a lot more common than I realized.
