There are three tests you need to pass to get a CDL permit.
Since you took General Knowledge and Air Brakes, go back and take the Combination test.
The DMV clerk should help list the required tests.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
A vehicle with two separate parts - the power unit (tractor) and the trailer. Tractor-trailers are considered combination vehicles.
The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.

I came in for my CLP today and took the basic cdl knowledge test and the air brake portions. My question is was i supposed to take any other test or is that all required for just the cdl with no endorsements?

Before getting their CDL, commercial drivers will receive their commercial learner's permit (CLP) upon passing the written portion of the CDL exam. They will not have to retake the written exam to get their CDL.
