I just hope that the losing party doesn't try and burn everything to the ground
They made a feeble attempt at that last night in Seattle and Portland, and it was shut down immediately. I think we've seen the last of our tolerance for that kind of garbage.
Back in 2020, there were riots, and then Trump lost the election that year. He had said at the time they wanted to go in and arrest people who had cheated on the election or committed treason in some way, but with the media completely under the control of the Democrats, half the country would have thought Trump was a dictator that was overthrowing Democracy and they told him it would start a civil war, which it may have at the time. We really don't know who had control of the military at the time and what they believed.
So basically they told Trump, "Sorry, but you're gonna have to accept it and make a comeback another way someday."
Today is that day. Now, the truth gets out through X (Twitter). The mainstream media has been all but destroyed, and a massive portion of our population learned the truth over the past few years. You could see in recent weeks that virtually no one believed any of the hype anymore from the Democrats. Their lies had died in the light like we had hoped they would.
The other side won't go quietly, but our side is in a dramatically more powerful position than a few years ago. We now have the will of the people to fix what they broke and get this ship turned around.
Operating While Intoxicated
The House retained Republican control, the Senate went red, along with the Supreme Court's Presidential immunity ruling, we have willingly handed absolute power to a meglomaniac.
Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices

Confident men intimidate most people, men and women alike. That's a fact. Without actual authority, you have no power over someone who doesn't mind being disliked by you. You can't control or manipulate them the way you can with weak, insecure people.
But here's the thing. Weak people and the "go-along, get-along" types make terrible leaders. They're so worried about being disliked and avoiding conflict that they go with whatever decision is easiest for themselves instead of what's best for the group. They're afraid of making the tough decisions.
Didn't Trump just say he would protect women whether they like it or not? He sure did. That's a leader. He's gonna do what he believes is best for people, even those people who don't like him. That's what great leadership requires.
So if you're waiting for some love-everybody, people-pleasing hippie to come along and love us all to a better life, you don't get how great leadership works. Those people aren't leaders, they're organizers, and there's a huge difference. Almost anyone can be an organizer. Very few can be a leader.
Trump is exactly the type of person we need as a leader. He's gonna do an amazing job.
All I can do is echo what Brett said.
As a woman, I do not have internalized misogyny. As someone who understands case law, and what needs to happen to codify said case law, the Supreme Court was legally correct in kicking Roe V Wade back into the hands of each individual state.
Had the Democrats and extreme far left liberals not spent the last 8 years calling every one of us "-phobic" and "-ist" for simply expressing a view that is similar, but a different pathway to achieve it, they may have seen different results. Had they actually had an honest primary once they realized Biden wasn't it, they may have had someone we were willing to seriously look at.
Had they given a rest to the whole Stormy Daniels is a H00ker schtick, and understood that NDAs are quite often a pay for signature situation, we would have forgiven the side chick for "earning" her position on her knees. You don't get to scream morality, when every US president, and the majority of every house and Senate member have equally shady pasts.
They failed to listen to the fact that half the voting country is tired. Tired of the BS, tired of the "We deserve it" crowd, tired of the identity politics. Tired of being compared to literal Hitler, while one side is actively supporting a genocide We are bloody tired. We just used the ballot box to explain in detail how screwed up they are, running on the , "I'm not him!" platform
It looks like Gen X delivered the victory for Trump!
The young and the old are easily fooled. The old still believe what they hear on television and the young believe almost anything. That was super obvious over the past few years.
I never wanted to get involved in running our society. Many of us didn't. We wanted to be left alone to live our own lives in peace. But the wrong people took control and they came for us. We had no choice. Now we're involved. This is our time.
I'm pursuing my next business ideas, which will revolve around technologies that promote the decentralization of control over information and money and help people be more self-sufficient and independent of the government.
Technologies like:
Computers are my superpower. After living through the Orwellian nightmare of the past few years I'm gonna do what I can to make sure we have technologies available that allow us to communicate without censorship and be more free, independent, and self-sufficient.
I'll be working from my home up in the mountains, far from prying eyes, with my German Shepherd, guns, cameras, and drones. Yap, I'm that guy. Always have been.
I'll bet many of you feel the same way I do.
The Democrats should have learned from Hillary. If Biden would have bowed out sooner to allow them to choose a decent candidate instead they let Kamala hijack the nomination. Go extreme with the transgender crap, and you just harden the Hispanic vote for Trump and bring over some of the younger black vote.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
I mean, really, can you think of one single policy the Democrats had that was meant to make America strong and healthy? I don't believe they intended to do anything good for us. They seem to have no love for the US and our people. They did not believe in our Constitution, follow our laws, enforce our laws, or protect our borders. They even blatantly disregarded Supreme Court decisions. Finally, they spent hundreds of billions on foreign wars.
They were not working for us. That should have been obvious.
And did the Democrats steal the 2020 election? Well, these voting statistics demonstrate how egregious it was. Here is the total vote count for Democrats in elections this century. There is no way to explain the huge surge in total votes in 2020.
2000 - 50,992,335
2004 - 59,028,444
2008 - 69,498,516
2012 - 65,915,795
2016 - 65,853,514
2020 - 81,283,501
2024 - 67,957,895
There is no chance they cast 81 million votes in 2020 while averaging 64 million in all elections this century. So they had no business being in power in the first place. They were not elected by the people.
It's about time to put all this political hatred behind us. The election is over, Donald Trump won, Congress is Republican controlled again so maybe the policies will be easier to pass. To keep stoking the fires is not productive to unity and peace. After all we are still Americans and for the good of our country we just need to move forward and let the next 4 years speak for themselves.

I'm not sure what that even means. Is that actionable? Does it mean we should all be silent observers?
I've noticed a pattern with you, Navypoppop. Every time we have a discussion with even the slightest disagreement, you call for an end to the discussion.
You did it on another thread recently where we were talking about nutrition and fitness. You told us to end the conversation and stick to talking about trucking, even though our health is critically important and people benefitted from the conversation. A lot of helpful information and experiences were shared.
At that time, several people stepped in to let you know they wanted the conversation to continue, and it did.
Now here you are again, calling for the end of another conversation because not everyone agrees.
What gives?

My entire prior voting experience was in small town Montana, so this was a slightly different experience.
It grated on me that I felt backed into a corner where it was more important to vote party over individual person for position, but I knew it was the only way.
The meltdowns on places like reddit are unhinged. I just hope that the losing party doesn't try and burn everything to the ground
