Personally, Schneider would have been too short of a training period for me. They habe the shortest that I know of. That wouldnt have worked cause I sucked.
They also, as you said, do not allow phones--even with legal hands free head sets... nor do they allow 8/2 splits which is something I use quite a bit.
Apply everywhere and see who who accepts you. Many of our members here assumed they could just pick a company, then found out they wete rejected... after months of having their hearts set.
Be aware... company sponsored is indeed the best way to go. Some people wasted their time and money on local CDL schools.. only to not be able to find a job due to something they never ezpected to be a problem.

Hello everyone I’m new here I’ll be going for my cdl this summer. Any advice for a noob? I am considering schiender as a starter company. I hear they have an excellent training program. But they micro manage the hell out of you. What are there trucks like what is there idle policy. I know they have a strict no phone policy.
