Most companies will want a year, and it is recommended to stick with your first company for a year anyway.
JB Hunt has some jobs that only require 3-6 months. Might be worth looking into.

I'm still very much a rookie in trucking, I don't have a contact with my current company since I went to a private school for my license. I do not like the lifestyle of OTR and hoping that I'll be able to stick with it until I get enough experience to get a dedicated or better yet local route. I have 4 months of experience so far and was wondering how much experience I'd need to apply for one of those. The reason why I want to be home more is I'm disabled and getting my medications has been a pain and I can't do my appointments if I'm not within state lines. I'm willing to continue to struggle to get the experience but I need out of here as soon as I can. A realistic goal would help
