Dogs are great for drivers.....and DOT knows it.. A dog needs to get out to pee about every 2 hours.....So the driver gets out of the truck...and gets some stretch time...A dog is a great burglar alarm....Dogs are company, and help with loneliness....So Dogs are good for you !!!!! And so are cats, snakes, ferrets...and the occasional snake I've seen !!!

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
