That means to place something in front of and/or behind some of the wheels to keep the truck from rolling when the brakes are released.

This may be a dumb question but I'd rather understand than not. I've been studying the air brakes portion for the cdl exam and I keep seeing the phrase "chock the wheels". What does this mean?
