Congratulations Kiwi!

It's been very enjoyable having you in here and seeing how different the process is for you, I've also enjoyed getting a glimpse into how the trucks, and rules and regulations, differ from ours also.

Wishing you the best as you continue to pursue your career!

We don't get assigned trucks where I work. Plus we lease from Ryder. We have all Freightliners, mostly cascadias but we do have a couple Columbia's. Those are the older trucks. All ten speeds expect we did just get one automatic last month. That thing drives like a Cadillac. We also have three B trucks for local runs. Those are freightliners too. The only thing that's annoying about the new FL's is the DEF. Just seems like another useless thing that just adds more things that can go wrong.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Blue '13 KW 660 pictured to the left. Had 19K when it was assigned to me on 16 Aug 13 and now has 123K+. She has taken me through the mountains, the deserts and coast to coast. She has hauled a load that scaled out at 79,950 through a snowy pass my first time out west in a big rig. While I haven't put so much as a scratch on her, some Bozo did some cosmetic damage to her side box on the driver's side. To say I have become attached to her would be an understatement. She is TRUE blue.

KW T700, She's a Beast! My company makes me haul some Heavy Loads because we do a lot of Potato Loads for McDonalds. We go to just about every State because everyone needs their French Fries!
