You have to research the company...you ask yourself these questions....Do they have freight lanes near my home....Do they have the trucks I want to drive....Do they haul the freight I want to haul....Do they pay me a reasonable wage....Do they offer home time that fits me... These are the questions you go thru AFTER you have applied to any and all the companies !!! You will want to stick with the company you choose for a year, solid. That will pay off your training, and give you experience, and makes you look great to the next company you apply to. So pick wisely....But remember....they are investing ALOT in you up front.

OTR:
Over The Road

Owner Operator:
An owner-operator is a driver who either owns or leases the truck they are driving. A self-employed driver.
