I would track down some of the more experienced drivers and ask them about driving in the winter. I have only been through one winter so I am not an expert by any means.

Howdy,
I have found this site a tremendous help to me so far. I am working on a fiction series that revolves around a small trucking company. I have done a little over half of the High Road Training Program for two reasons one for research and two because I am considering a career in trucking myself.
Anyway, I am considering having one of the books in the series take place in Canada on the ice roads, but I can't find any real information about ice road trucking. All I have been able to find is stuff about the "reality" tv show. Which obviously has little basis in actual reality. Does anyone here have any experience or could point me to another source for research?
Thanks, James
