Loocked like you got hit from behind too, saw the truck kind of jerk forward, was that just a bad gear change?
bummers on the day.. Atleast you had the cam.. Something Im thinking of investing in when I get back out.
I was a bit shook up and a bit in shock cause I could not believe that just happened. shifted from 10 down to 4th gear and dumped the clutch almost killing the truck.
makes sense.. Thats what I assumed, just looked like someone hit ya from behind...
Sure it sucks to be hit and I have very low tolerance for stupid people but the worse part about it was there was 4 kids in the car with her. Ages 2 to 6 years of age. I nearly died when i found out who was behind the caved in door....the 2 year old. The mini van made direct impact with my steer tire.

Prime Inc has a CDL training program and the first phase is referred to as PSD. You'll get your permit and then 10,000 miles of on the road instruction.
Prime’s PSD begins with you obtaining your CDL permit. Then you’ll go on the road with a certified CDL instructor for no less than 75 hours of one-on-one behind the wheel training. After training, you’ll return to Prime’s corporate headquarters in Springfield, Missouri, for final CDL state testing and your CDL license.
They need to tie her tubes so she can't breed anymore. We don't need more idiotic people in this world who can't turn their head back to check for traffic especially when there's children in the car.
Terrible mother. Almost killed the kids because of her stupidity.
Guy, I am so glad to hear no one was seriously hurt, especially after watching the video....I think I would be more than a little shaken up!
Whoa! Nice save, Guy. I'm glad it didn't turn out as bad as it could have had you not been paying attention.
I am really impressed by how far in advance you anticipated what that driver was going to do!
The camera is obviously an excellent item to have on board; thanks for posting the video link.

Yea. After awhile you can began to read traffic pattern when they start forming in front of you when you up so high in the air. I knew she was coming over but did not realize she was going to come over all three lanes.
And I know there will be people that say I could have hit the brakes and might have avoided it all together but at 3:45pm is the start of rush hour and lucky enough I was bob tailing to get an empty trailer but had I of slammed on the brakes the people behind me would have had a very bad day. I choose to hold my ground to minimize the damage from being rear ended. This way it was only two vehicles involved instead of 40.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
Ouch, that really bites! I'm like you - it would have really disturbed me after discovering the baby seated by the door.
Nice disaster avoidance there Guy.
Did the camera factor into the accident investigation?
Most idiots are still smart enough to see $$ signs when involved in an accident with a commercial vehicle. I'm assuming that the other driver got the citation?
Dash Cams can be a smart call for "self-defense" in situations like this. I'm sure seeing a mini-van stuffed with kids made your heart skip a couple of beats.
Good save there…
Rick
