Am I the only one who has ever breathed a sigh of relief when qualcomm beeps and says
You have 1 hour and zero minutes left of your drive time .
Some days I hit the 10hr mark and cant believe the day is that far gone....other days I pray for that beep which can't come fast enough.
Not really. I hate hearing the beep. I love driving. Afraid I will miss something if I go to sleep.
Audio books will make the time fly. I loose myself in them, unfortunately today was not that type of day, but when I get a book I am really into I can go for hours without stopping including forgetting about bathroom breaks.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
I imagine that has a lot to do with years of experience versus my 3 weeks otr .
I absolutely enjoy driving....I wouldn't do it if I didn't but with only a limited time on the road my lack of conditioning as well as some expected stressors can make some days heavier than others .

I've had a few of those days.. mostly when leaving home after home time...
Don't sweat it Schism. It will take time to build up stamina. Only drive as long as you are comfortable with.
Schism, you're still in training, that adds so many stresses to your day as it is. Don't sweat it - your doing great. That endurance will come - it took me around nine months till I started really getting my stride as far as the daily endurance of the driving grind.
I hate listening to that annoying voice that never pronounces anything right to start with. My volume is usually off.. lol...

Qualcomm:
Omnitracs (a.k.a. Qualcomm) is a satellite-based messaging system with built-in GPS capabilities built by Qualcomm. It has a small computer screen and keyboard and is tied into the truck’s computer. It allows trucking companies to track where the driver is at, monitor the truck, and send and receive messages with the driver – similar to email.
