So this is my 1st trip solo. I've been running pretty hard (Rochester MN, Northern WI, Rochester NY, Crete NE) and now i'm sitting here in KC MO. I started out on TUES last week. I only have 9:30 left on my 70. Am I correct that I won't gain back my hrs from last TUES until Midnight TUE (Wed morning)? I might be sitting on Tues with No hrs to run. I'll be following along to see what they tell you, I know that it starts to fall back off at some point, but that is all I know! Good luck and the pic looks great, you look happy!

It is 70 hours over EIGHT DAYS. So yes. Your RECAP for last Tuesdays hours don't come back until this Wednesday. If you have a Qualcomm , it might tell you the hours gained after midnight under the Status box under Hours of Service.

Qualcomm:

Omnitracs (a.k.a. Qualcomm) is a satellite-based messaging system with built-in GPS capabilities built by Qualcomm. It has a small computer screen and keyboard and is tied into the truck’s computer. It allows trucking companies to track where the driver is at, monitor the truck, and send and receive messages with the driver – similar to email.

That's what I thought. I'm using the new TRUCK PC - I trained on the Qualcomm. Not sure where I'll shut down tomorrow then and have to wait, the drop is anytime on Wed tho up until 23:59.

Roehl cares about Hours of Service?!?

Seriously. That is how it works, unless you are like some of the "old timers" that run two or three paper logs.

So do a 34 hour reset. I bet you find you need the rest anyway.

thank-you.gif lol Guy, you were a great teacher, I just didn't want to give wrong info and I didn't have my spread sheet available at the time of my response! At least I knew that it came back off, that is more than I knew when you helped me! At the beginning of day 9 day one hours worked fall off and become available again, so if I worked 8 hrs on day one on day 9 i get those 8 hrs back!!!! See I did learn something!!!!!
