thank-you.gif lol Guy, you were a great teacher, I just didn't want to give wrong info and I didn't have my spread sheet available at the time of my response! At least I knew that it came back off, that is more than I knew when you helped me! At the beginning of day 9 day one hours worked fall off and become available again, so if I worked 8 hrs on day one on day 9 i get those 8 hrs back!!!! See I did learn something!!!!!

thank-you.gif

I knew I was running out of hours. I was hoping I was figuring something wrong and I would be able to run today - Oh well, prob right, get some extra rest it was a 3000+ mile week. So tonight I'll get hours back and should be able to do a full 34 after getting here yesterday afternoon. It was fun to watch the final 1/2 of the NCAA game in the drivers lounge. Lots to see, but I thought "Grandma's Place" was a better deal on breakfast this morning. This is my first time here...Iowa80 truck-stop parking lot with trucks parked in it

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

If you want to see what is possibly the world's SMALLEST truck stop, try the "International" Truck Stop. I wish I had taken a picture because it was tiny.

Good old Iowa truck stop...that place is HUGE! And I seem to remember I probably ate about five pounds of food every time I was there, I loaded up at the buffet and slept great afterwards! I used to think if you couldn't find parking there, that was your own faul, but after a few times of being there, I realized that place was never empty! And I've been there all different times. Do they still have Smokey and the Bandit on repeat in the store? I felt bad for the workers, it's a good movie, but I think after the 25th time it can get kind of annoying...

Tonight, I am back at the "International" Truck Stop. The Pilot down the road is smaller. Between them there is like 10 to 15 parking spaces, at most.

Dave,

According to my "Ultimate Truck Parking Guide", the Pilot has 40+ parking spots (no showers) & the Mahwah Fuel Stop (AKA International) has 15+.

The guide I am referring to can be found at different locations. I have found it at the Iowa 80 group of truck stops & at Prime (where I got my copy). You can also go online to WWW.parkmyrig.com to get a copy sent to you as well.

I just went to their site, it lists all the places you can find this guide.

I was there. Believe me. The Pilot in Mahwah, off Exit 66, just up the road from the "International" truck plaza has virtually no parking spots. About 5 to 8 spots. The "International" has something like 8 to 10 spots. A truck stop across the street from the "International" looks like it has 8 to 10 spots.
