Wow, thanks for all the beautiful pics! That looks so amazing. I bet the bike ride back down was a lot of fun. I can't wait until I can start doing this myself. Until then, I will have to live vicariously through you.
It's not all fun and games though. Yesterday was a 16 hour work day for example. You have those fun days, but the typical day is long and tiring filled with obstacles and challenges at every corner.
What an awesome ride! Glad you got out for some fun. Makes the other days easier when you can look both backward and forward to days like that.

I used to drive OTR many years ago. I remember having to sit in the middle of Nebraska for three days once because it was Labor Day weekend and there were no loads. Having a bike at times like that this time around would make a world of difference!
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
Its time once again for an update and to get some jaws dropped around here.
Location: White River National Forest, CO. I70 Exit 121.
Firstly, this was my first bike ride where I had other people around me. As strange as this may sound, usually the last thing around me is a person - so this was "new" to me. I had to actually share the bike route with other rich, old people. Anyone living in this area is clearly rich. The houses were extreme.
This is at Exit 121 Grizzly Creek Rest Area. This isn't exactly the Rockies, but its pretty dang close. Either way, this area on I70 will have you staring no matter how many times you've drove through it.
Need I say more? What a great start!
Its called "White" River for a reason. This water was crystal clear, and lots of white!
This is much taller than it appears.
This bike route goes along with the river and the interstate.
Ok, this just shook me. Open this picture in the largest view possible. Look at the very top of the mountain, slightly left, there's actually roller coasters. I observed this for a moment, that thing that looks like a large tree is actually one of those rides that goes back and forth. Except it appears when it swings you out it swings you over the cliff. And there's two more to the left that swing in a circle. As it is, I'm not a fan of rides - yet these people built them on a cliff. Call me chicken, but I'll pass - definitely not brave enough for that (or stupid enough)
Nice!
More along the river. The air is unbelievable here, did I mention its cold!
Some awesome chickens. They were adorable, they ran towards me as I came to them! So social!
As tall as the clouds! Beautiful! Just like my wife!
Fishing sounds so good right now.
And on the seventh day he rested. This world is too beautiful, once you take the time and get out of the truck.
I should start charging for these kinds of gorgeous pictures.
I'll never forget you!
Let's start this one off at 250$
No more jokes!
Trail, cliffs, mountains, water. Or as my wife would say it...... #Trails #Cliffs #Mountains #Water
This was so tall I had to look almost straight up.
Its nice to actually have traction on the road for once.
The way back! Lots of dodging branches!!
And as my bonus picture!!
Overall, I'll definitely come back. Just not in the winter time! This experience kept me dizzy because it was just so much detail to process. You look left and see this massive boulder, you look right and you say "awwhhh". I was looking up almost the entire time. Anyone who has been on I70 in CO will recognize most of these pictures.
But for those who are just getting started, this is but a small fraction of what you'll see out here. I could write a book!
What do you guys think!?
Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).
Prime Inc has a CDL training program and the first phase is referred to as PSD. You'll get your permit and then 10,000 miles of on the road instruction.
Prime’s PSD begins with you obtaining your CDL permit. Then you’ll go on the road with a certified CDL instructor for no less than 75 hours of one-on-one behind the wheel training. After training, you’ll return to Prime’s corporate headquarters in Springfield, Missouri, for final CDL state testing and your CDL license.
The I 70 corridor is a breath taking area. I have been through it in every season and spring in my favorite. I like to have just a bit of snow hidden away here and there. It's beautiful country. Thanks
So much more beautiful than I-70 that runs through Ohio and Indiana, which is where you will see flat land and corn or soybeans! For someone who doesn't live in a farming area they may enjoy seeing that, but if you have lived here all of your life it is boring. Thanks so much for the pics Daniel....as it has been said, a picture is worth a thousand words!
Love this thread daniel b..we truley are lucky people to see this beautiful country the way most people will never get the chance to experience it..so many drivers let politics, and negativity make them miss out on the enjoyment in life.. keep living for the day Daniel!
Have you been able to ride anymore recently? Those pictures from Colorado were freaking amazing!
Update coming soon.
Sorry it's been awhile. I had hometime for a week followed by that long high value load that prevented me from riding my bike.
Update should come tomorrow. Glad everyone's still into it.
