The within 18 inches is classified as a bumper to bumper park its used in truck stops so a person can't open ur doors far enough to get in or get ur load out.
Guys thank you for all the responses. Awesome discussion. What I did was line myself up, then get out. Step off how many feet it was, then go to my fuel tank using the strap that is holding the tank to the vehicle as a marker) and step off the same number I did at the back of the truck. I put my glove down at the spot. Lined up the strap and the glove. Was perfect. My instructor gave me that advice.
Folks I wish you well and look forward to other questions and topicsw on this sight. By the way, got my license. Take care friends. Todd

Well, I can back with the best of them, but within 18 inches ??? If thats so important, why do they have those cool bumper walls at the grocery outfits that you can back slowly into to get a good seal ?? And...I can plead ignorance....I pull a skateboard...we just pull into the darned lot and tell em to throw it on, or take it off !!
