I went with Roehl. The training period is much shorter than other companies. You are in school for three weeks. Then you are out with a trainer for 11 - 14 days. After that, you have your own truck.

Hello.
My plan "A" is to sign on with a company that provides CDL training.
My interest is to work OTR , as a company driver.
I have a few questions.
1/ what company did you sign with?
2/ How much time did it take? The time from the start of cdl school to the time you were given your own truck.
I have been reading this forum and have taken in a great deal of information. I was hoping to glean specific info with this post.
Thank you
CDL:

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
OTR:

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
