Truckingtruth honest positive advice
Brett, your favorite mod (me) just voted. I'm also disappointed to see my favorite in 5th place.

First I will get this out of the way "TruckingTruth need we say more"
I looked at the logos but didnt vote. I know some think the look is the most important thing but I am of the mindset that the information inside a website is more important than what it looks like. But thats just me. I do have to say the dude in the T shirt kinda made me laugh. I know you guys always talk about staying in shape, but...really? How many truckers look like that? I dont think that T shirt would fit a 1/16th of us. Maybe Daniel could fit in it. Me? I'll need an extra large please. Oh yeah and a pocket for my smokes :)
Well I voted and I am glad one of the two I picked as my favorites is number one. I left comments.
AND I stand by this one making an awesome merchandise logo..... T-shirts, hats and the like.

I like the logo on the T-shirt. It was one of my favorites. But I think it confused a lot of people. The T-shirt itself was just for demonstration purposes so we could see what it would look like in that format. It wasn't intended to be the actual logo for the website. We're not gonna have a dude in a T-shirt as our logo, just the graphics on the T-shirt. I also messaged the designer to put a darker blue instead of teal and submit one without the T-shirt to prevent any confusion. This one also made the women particularly mad because of the guy in it. So I don't think it got a fair shake in the voting. I'm gonna see if I can get a revision on it.

That's 100% true! But.....if you have an outdated, unprofessional look to your website, clothing, restaurant - whatever - it instantly kills a lot of your credibility. People form a first impression within just a second or two of seeing you or your business. No matter how good the substance, if the look is terrible a lot of people will write you off as garbage without giving you much of a chance. Even the ones who do stick around to see if you have any substance will be skeptical. So you're fighting an uphill battle from the moment someone arrives at your business for the first time if you don't appear professional.
So you want to make sure that people instantly put you in the "professional" category when they see you for the first time, and you want to make sure they feel comfortable with what they're seeing. They don't have to love the look necessarily. But they should be able to recognize that it was done by professionals, not an 8th grader doing a school project.
And after 7 1/2 years of working on this website an average of about 70 hours a week (for real!) I'd hate to see it all wrapped in ugly.

BMI is a formula that uses weight and height to estimate body fat. For most people, BMI provides a reasonable estimate of body fat. The BMI's biggest weakness is that it doesn't consider individual factors such as bone or muscle mass. BMI may:
It's quite common, especially for men, to fall into the "overweight" category if you happen to be stronger than average. If you're pretty strong but in good shape then pay no attention.

Guyjax, the one you're referring to definitely has a super cool looking graphic. I love it. I told the designers to come up with something unique and that certainly is!
Today is the last day of the contest for new designers to enter but I can continue to get revisions from the current designers. There is one really talented designer that's still working on a new one from scratch and it should be presented today or tomorrow. And I'll likely get some revisions on others so we'll see how that goes. And to even out the "gender bias misperception" the guy in the T-shirt created I think I'm going to have one of the logos displayed on a unicorn or a butterfly.
Once we get finished working on the logo and header, the rest of the website will be redesigned to match.
Keep the ideas coming for the motto also! That's gonna be a tough one to come up with.

That's awesome! I wish we could say we'll help keep people from hitting things.
Oh man....that's what we should do...."virtual trainer". Just put an iPad in the passenger seat and we'll have one of our moderators on a video conference coaching you down the road.
OMG I'm totally kidding so don't anyone overreact to that. LoL! But seriously....it would be great if you could just click on "Old School" or "Daniel B" or "Starcar" or "guyjax" and suddenly they're in the truck with you on video conference - seeing and hearing the same things you are through the camera and microphone.
Man, when I first started trucking I was 21 and I got lost in NYC. It was a mess. I put that story in my book. That would have been the perfect time for a service like that. Click on "Old School" and when he tunes in - let him take the wheel or navigate. It's like, "Man, I'm lost in Queens. Get me out of here please!"
