Here's a link to the section of this website that does a really good job of reviewing and comparing company sponsored training opportunities for you. I had this question too and got lots of great info there.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
A Company-Sponsored Training Program is a school that is owned and operated by a trucking company.
The schooling often requires little or no money up front. Instead of paying up-front tuition you will sign an agreement to work for the company for a specified amount of time after graduation, usually around a year, at a slightly lower rate of pay in order to pay for the training.
If you choose to quit working for the company before your year is up, they will normally require you to pay back a prorated amount of money for the schooling. The amount you pay back will be comparable to what you would have paid if you went to an independently owned school.
Company-sponsored training can be an excellent way to get your career underway if you can't afford the tuition up front for private schooling.

Hi, I currently live in Ohio and am looking for information about the best company training to suit my needs.. any advice/ opinions are welcomed and appreciated!! The training would be for me and my fiance, we are looking to team up afterward thanks. Preferably a training program that does not have a lot of up-front cost.. We are not concerned about being split up during training obviously if needed. Thanks!!! (I will be 22 in two months and he is 23..) I have one speeding ticket ("15 or under" almost a year ago when I had first gotten my license) and a clean background. He has a clean background and a clean driving record. But he has not had a license long.. :/
Carla, there's a few links you absolutely must read before you go any further. Check all of these out, they will answer all your questions.
And don't forget that both you and the dude absolutely must do High Road Training Program. It will get you far ahead of everyone. Don't come to school without being prepared.
None of the Company-Sponsored Training has up-front costs. You pay the training back with your year.
Your ticket shouldn't hurt you too much, be thankful its not 15 or above. Be completely up front with all the companies about this. Do not conceal anything, they will find out, and when they do you'll be on your way back home jobless and at your expense.
"But he has not had a license long."
I need to know exactly how long has he had his license. Has it been over a year?

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
Yea the not having the license that long caught my eye also. Law requires drivers to have there normal non commercial license at least 1 year prior to applying to get a cdl. Not any work around to this.
