Today’s move is a grinder, a big one. Run by a C18 Cat motors pushing 750hp, the grinder drum will shred a 48” diameter oak tree with very little effort and produce 120 tons of wood chips in an hour. It’s one of the smaller units this company manufacturers and weighs 87,300#. I picked her up in Idaho and her new home is just outside Chicago.

Been busy lately so I haven't posted as much.

Tracks for something Robert B would haul. Each one weighs 14,000 lbs.

Robert, is that going to Homer tree service? They are the only ones around her that I know of that would have something that big.

Those machines are usually used at green waste dumps and mulch production facilities. Based on the info given by Robert, that particular one can produce 300 yards of mulch per hr

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Destined for just outside Chicago, Illinois....

I can't help but wonder how many ballots it could shred in an hour?

I haven’t posted any pics in a while and figured while I had a minute lol. The first is a Cat D9 bulldozer stripped down to be shipped over to Bahrain. I picked it up at the factory in East Peoria Illinois and dropped it at the port in Baltimore. The second is a Cat 980G wheel loader with a 12’ wide coal bucket. It picked up in PA, just across the Maryland state line and is headed to Hidalgo Texas before going down into Mexico.

And yes I had to tarp tarps.

HaHa, you got a love it! I was amazed at some of the stuff I had to tarp over the years. We used to tarp loads of copper coming out of the mines in Arizona and New Mexico. The receiver in Connecticut was always irritated that we had to take the time to remove the tarps. Our company wanted it tarped just to keep it from being seen. Thieves see big money when they see copper on a flat-bed.
