I was just reading about cameras in trucks that may be hidden are companies doing this if so shouldnt they tell you that there is one in the. Truck I guess it would not be hidden then.. I don't think that I would want to work for a company that goes behind your back and does this. There should be some kind of device now a day's that can sweep the truck for such devices audio / video. What do y'all think

One in a million trucks do this. And those companies are usually the ones who are hauling explosives or other extremely dangerous cargo. They do it to obviously make sure the driver is paying attention because they simply cannot afford an accident.

You shouldn't worry about this, take it off your mind. No company that I know of does this.

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

I have cameras in my truck. One that faces the road and one on the driver. They are extremely obvious and not hidden at all. Also, they notify you when they are sending video to the company. I know several companies are starting to use systems like this. I haven't heard of any that use hidden cameras though.

Which company?

The dash cams seem like a good idea for liability and other legal stuff. Are drivers running them more these days?

Only the smarter drivers are.

Millis. The purpose is twofold. First, like you said, it does help with liability. Second, they can see when drivers are engaging in unsafe behavior. The number one problem in our company has been proper following distance.

Hidden camera? Very rare does this happen. Below is a link to a thread I started on June 16th last month and in the video you will see the hood of my truck and exactly what I saw. And you tell me if drive cams are not useful.

Dash cams are awesome
