In their defense.. summer seems to be the busy time for new drivers. Even down here in Phoenix Arizona where it is super hot (115 the last 2 days.) the schools are completely booked. Now that being said just keep on pushing until you are annoying them. Show up to the terminal call them email them non stop.. whatever it takes.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Don't let it get to you. I was utterly enraged after a recruiter spoke with me and gave me a tour of the facility then didn't follow up with me for weeks.
You'll get a random phone call out of the blue just like I did. Maybe even with an apology lol.
Now I supposedly have a position with New England Motor Freight after I complete my trucking school
NEMF? That's sweet. I didn't know they hired student drivers. Will you be running out of their terminal in Camp Hill, PA? You're just a jog down 81 S. Linehaul or P&D gig?

Local drivers that stay around their area, usually within 100 mile radius of a terminal, picking up and delivering loads.
LTL (Less Than Truckload) carriers for instance will have Linehaul drivers and P&D drivers. The P&D drivers will deliver loads locally from the terminal and pick up loads returning to the terminal. Linehaul drivers will then run truckloads from terminal to terminal.
Linehaul drivers will normally run loads from terminal to terminal for LTL (Less than Truckload) companies.

It was hard to reach my recruiter too. I pretty much went creeper status and called every five - fifteen minutes for four hours straight until she picked up the phone.
