Well your little girl will be 18 and out on her own before you know it. You will miss a lot of "first time" things.
I hope your wife is self sufficient because once you go on the road everything and I do mean EVERYTHING will be placed in her lap and she will need to get it done cause you will not be there and can not do it.
Including introducing,to your kid, the stranger that comes to the house once a month for 3 to 4 days and leaves for another month. That would be you.
Dave,
When you said you were fired from your first company, was it in the trucking industry? Would you be willing to share your experience? I am curious. I have been dealing with some things lately but am waiting to see how it pans out before I share it here. I am hoping it's a positive story when it's over.

I know Schneider has a good gig out of Florida, but they don't have company sponsored training , you have to get your CDL then they have a reimbursement program once you are hired on.
CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Company Sponsored Training:
A Company-Sponsored Training Program is a school that is owned and operated by a trucking company.
The schooling often requires little or no money up front. Instead of paying up-front tuition you will sign an agreement to work for the company for a specified amount of time after graduation, usually around a year, at a slightly lower rate of pay in order to pay for the training.
If you choose to quit working for the company before your year is up, they will normally require you to pay back a prorated amount of money for the schooling. The amount you pay back will be comparable to what you would have paid if you went to an independently owned school.
Company-sponsored training can be an excellent way to get your career underway if you can't afford the tuition up front for private schooling.
