Best and quickest? Well, they're all gonna be about the same, but if you want to maximize your earning potential as a student driver, check out Prime Inc. $500 weekly in the beginning of training $600 towards the end. You'll learn on the job. You'll have to travel to MO. And no matter what, if you're going into OTR or truckload, consider your first year a paid learning experience, i.e. don't expect to make much more than 30K your first year.
One more important thing, if you're looking to start ASAP, then you really need to start studying ASAP. Start immediately studying High Road Training Program
I sense some urgency w/ you, so you're gonna have to start studying now, researching companies now, and depending on the company, get your learner's permit before you leave for school. We're here for your questions, but you'll need to start doing research for yourself ASAP. Trucking school isn't something you want to rush into, but if that's your desire, you'll need to start working your tail off w/ research and studying for your permit. A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
The Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) is a person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol program regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.
A Company-Sponsored Training Program is a school that is owned and operated by a trucking company.
The schooling often requires little or no money up front. Instead of paying up-front tuition you will sign an agreement to work for the company for a specified amount of time after graduation, usually around a year, at a slightly lower rate of pay in order to pay for the training.
If you choose to quit working for the company before your year is up, they will normally require you to pay back a prorated amount of money for the schooling. The amount you pay back will be comparable to what you would have paid if you went to an independently owned school.
Company-sponsored training can be an excellent way to get your career underway if you can't afford the tuition up front for private schooling.
And welcome to Trucking Truth! Best wishes to you
