Howdy, I haven't gotten anything concrete on this yet. I have asthma. It is NOT exercise induced. I'm on a prescription med for my asthma. I haven't had an asthma attack for about six months now. I have no problem breathing normally. Will this prevent me from becoming a truck driver? Thanks

James, it shouldn't be a bother, if you get cleared by the company's medical staff. My husband has had asthma for his entire trucking career.....45 years and counting. He has a rescue inhaler, and a nebulizer for times that he is in dirty, or polinating areas. So step on out there and live your dream, start that adventure, you know you want to....

Thanks! In high school I was set to join the military until I talked to a recruiter and learned that I couldn't join with asthma. So I'm glad that I can at least live this dream still. Looking forward to starting trucking!
