Howdy Mr M!
I can tell you what I did for my CDL. First I went to my state .gov site to find out what was required then took some practice tests on the site (failed miserably) just to get an idea what they were looking for. After that, I discovered TT and dove into the High Road training which really helped me. If I remember correctly, I just went down the list and took each course as they came. I may have skipped doubles/triples and hazmat. I still haven`t done the last four but, school and real world has taken care of most of it. I too was focused on the test. I am getting ready to take my hazmat and tanker as soon as my company can let me squeeze in a DMV stop. By the way, I scored high on my knowledge test due to the High Road. Hope this helps.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Explosive, flammable, poisonous or otherwise potentially dangerous cargo. Large amounts of especially hazardous cargo are required to be placarded under HAZMAT regulations
Refers to pulling two trailers at the same time, otherwise known as "pups" or "pup trailers" because they're only about 28 feet long. However there are some states that allow doubles that are each 48 feet in length.
The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.
Thanks for replying RT!
Did you do any other studying other than the high road?

You`re welcome and no.
Just the school stuff but I went to school way ahead of my class thanks to the High Road Training Program. It truly covers what you will need. It never hurts to take the practice tests for your state if they are available too.

Hello All!
Which tests are required to get the CDL A with Air break endorsement? Another-wards which of the practice tests should I focus on and which parts of the high road training program should I focus on? I will be starting my career driving reefers so I will not need double tripples or hazmat at first. I will focus on these later after I transfer my license and get closer to getting the first year knocked out.
Thank you to any and all who reply!
