Depends on the location. If it's a city, night driving for sure. Just cruising down the freeway, though, I find day time works best for me.

Too me its about roads and conditions. Night driving on interstates is ok. Night driving on 2 lane mountain highways that are unfamiliar just sucks. Also ending a 10+ hour drive day in dark is no fun. Tired eyes going into dark can be a pain.
